Speaker Karen Bass Announces Assembly Has Sent Democratic Economic Recovery Plan To Governor

SACRAMENTO — Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) joined Senate pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) to announce the Assembly and Senate has transmitted more than $18 billion in economic solutions to the governor. The package of bills, which were passed by the Legislature in the First Extraordinary Session on December 18 provide a major down payment toward addressing the state’s looming budget deficit, resolve its immediate cash crisis and create 367,000 new jobs for Californians.
