WHAT: California Assembly Speaker Karen Bass will join Community Coalition at the “Job Fair & Expo – Promoting High Wage Jobs for our Youth.” Attendees will celebrate the launch of the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) Academy at Locke High School. The ACE academy will provide training and access to job opportunities for youth in architecture, construction, engineering and related fields.

WHEN: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2008.

WHO: Assembly Speaker Bass, Community Coalition and other community and labor leaders as well as representatives from over 30 high wage industries. Several hundred youth and local residents are expected to attend.

WHERE: Locke High School, 325 E. 111th Street, Los Angeles at the West Parking Lot on San Pedro and 111th Street.
