Announce the newly released findings of a San Mateo review of 530 licensed and non-licensed child care facilities and foster care homes to determine whether registered sex offenders reside in the facilities.  The review, requested by Supervisor Hill, follows up on a state audit sought by Assemblywoman Ma that resulted in the suspension of a dozen child care licenses across California.

Also, unveil proposed legislation to give counties greater authority to protect young children and communities from sexually violent predators at child care facilities and foster homes.
