(SACRAMENTO, CA)  Assemblymember Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus, is pleased to announce her recent appointment to the Assembly Select Committee on Mobile Homes.  The following is a statement from Evans.

“Mobile home residents are under attack from developers and land speculators who want to turn mobile homes into condos,” said Evans.  “With nothing to stop conversions, thousands of working families and seniors face being put out on the street.  The Governor vetoed my legislation to fix this problem last year.  Condo ownership is not an option for people of modest means.  I’ll keep fighting the good fight.  The problem isn’t going away.  I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Select Committee to find a solution.”
