Assemblymember Block Honors Holocaust Survivors
(Sacramento) – During a special ceremony on the floor of the California State Assembly, Assemblymember Marty Block honored the lives and memories of the survivors of the holocaust by calling for the passage of ACR 45, a resolution proclaiming April 20 to 26, 2009 to be California Holocaust Memorial Week. In his presentation on the floor Assemblymember Block said the murder of millions of Jews and others by Nazis in Germany during World War Two must never be forgotten and recounted the creation of the Holocaust Museum and Education Center in his hometown of Skokie, Illinois. Assembly Member Block Named Assistant Majority Whip
(SACRAMENTO)—Assembly Member Marty Block (D-San Diego) today announced that he has been appointed Assistant Majority Whip by Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles).
