WHAT: Assembly Member Lori Saldaña will host "Home Buying 101" to provide information on resources available to first-time homebuyers
WHEN: Wednesday November 2nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: The North Park Recreation Center, 4044 Idaho Street in San Diego
BACKGROUND: In San Diego's heated up housing market, many residents don't know about state, federal and local programs to assist them in achieving their dream of owning a home.
The event is aimed at first-time homebuyers looking for information on down-payment assistance, below-market fixed-rate loans, assistance for veterans and their families. Information will also be available about current state legislation geared to enhance housing affordability for moderate- and low-income families.
