SAN DIEGO – Assembly Member Lori Saldaña (D-San Diego) will host a community cleanup event on Saturday, March 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Tecolote Creek on Mission Bay.
“I’m encouraging residents to devote a couple of hours this Saturday to cleaning up and restoring the creek and surrounding park,” Saldaña said. “It’s good exercise and a great way to make a contribution to San Diego’s quality of life.”
Saldaña has hosted a series of cleanups throughout San Diego, including events at 32nd Street Canyon, Pacific Beach, and Toler Elementary School.
Volunteers will meet at the parking lot north of the entrance to Fiesta Island. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen and a hat or visor. Tools and gloves will be provided.
Assembly Member Saldaña’s staff will also offer constituent services, including legislative information and assistance with state agencies.
