| "I Voted Yes to Fix a Broken Health Care System" | |
| Solorio Supports Speaker's ABX1 1 - Comprehensive Health Care for Most Californians | |
Earlier this week, in a historic Legislative session, the California Assembly passed a health care reform bill requiring almost every California resident to have and maintain health care coverage. Through a combination of public program expansions, subsidies, tax credits and other tax breaks, Californians will finally be able to afford health care coverage for their families. "I am proud to have voted affirmatively for the Speaker's health care reform bill, and glad that we have reached this milestone. This action by the Legislature today is the culmination of years of Democratic efforts to expand coverage for every Californian and make health care more affordable. Now is the time for major health care reform," said Assemblyman Jose Solorio (D-Anaheim). ABX1 1 (Núñez) provides health insurance for 70 percent of California's uninsured adult residents and all children in the state. Additionally, the implementation of the bill will result in more affordable health insurance for residents and businesses. "I hope the Senate, Governor and California voters will agree that the time is right to fix our broken health care system in California," Solorio said after the vote. Assemblyman Jose Solorio is the chair of the Assembly Public Safety Committee and also serves on the Assembly's Education, Transportation, and Appropriations committees. He represents the Sixty-Ninth Assembly District, which includes the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Santa Ana.
