Building Your Small Business With Help From Friends

NORWALK, California – Assemblyman Tony Mendoza is pleased to co-sponsor the 2008 Southeast Los Angeles County Small Business Fair on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Norwalk Marriott Hotel located at 13111 Sycamore Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event is FREE but space is limited.  To RSVP you are encouraged to call 213.593.1311 or email norwalksbf@boe.ca.gov.

“This is an event for anyone thinking about, just beginning or a seasoned owner/operator of a business that needs to know what resources are available to them to help them succeed,” said Assemblyman Mendoza.

The event will highlight programs offered through the state’s Board of Equalization (BOE) including basic sales and use tax issues, how to write a business plan, operating a home based business, and financing your business.

Over 20 federal, state and local agencies that help support small business will be on-hand to provide information and training.

Assemblyman Tony Mendoza is an educator that proudly represents the communities of Norwalk, Artesia, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens, Buena Park, Santa Fe Springs and parts of Lakewood and Whittier. The Assemblyman was first elected to the State Assembly in November 2006 and currently serves as a member of the Assembly’s Banking and Finance, Elections and Redistricting and Rules committees.
