Assemblymember Lieu Hosts Child Safety Event This Weekend

Mar Vista, CA --- Assemblymember Ted Lieu will be sponsoring a Child Fingerprinting event Sunday, December 2nd. At this event, public safety officials from the Los Angeles Pacific Division Police Department will be on hand to help fingerprint the children. Parents will be given the fingerprints and safety packets to store in their files at home.

All of the necessary materials will be available for free at the site. Also, there will be coloring books and other free public safety information for adults and children provided at our table. This event is hosted by Assemblymember Lieu, and the Mar Vista Community Council’s Farmers Market.

Where: Mar Vista Farmers Market
Beginning at Grandview & Venice Blvd., Los Angeles
Why:   Fingerprinting is a good way to ensure your children’s safety. If parents and guardians keep a copy of the fingerprints in their files, police can track children easier if the unthinkable occurs.
