The Assembly Select Committee on Procurement was formed to work with the Gubernatorial Administration, state agencies and departments and small businesses to examine and develop solutions to the most serious issues that prevent small and emerging businesses from attaining the 25% contracting and procurement goal set forth in Executive Orders S-02-06 and S-11-06.
The August 7th informational hearing will include several panel discussions, key witness testimony and a brief period for public comments from small and emerging business owners. Written comments detailing personal experiences contracting with Caltrans, or procurement with DGS, are encouraged and will be added to the final report.
