Attention Small And Emerging Business Owners Experienced With Or Interested In Procuring State Contracts

WHAT: Assembly Select Committee on Procurement, Chaired by Assemblymember Curren Price, will hold a Public Informational Hearing: “An Examination of the Progress of Executive Orders S-02-06 and S-11-06 and A Discussion of the Caltrans Availability & Disparity Study”

WHO:

Los Angeles County Small Business Owners, Representatives from The Department of General Services (DGS), Representatives from Caltrans, Members of The Assembly Select Committee on Procurement

The Assembly Select Committee on Procurement was formed to work with the Gubernatorial Administration, state agencies and departments and small businesses to examine and develop solutions to the most serious issues that prevent small and emerging businesses from attaining the 25% contracting and procurement goal set forth in Executive Orders S-02-06 and S-11-06.   

The August 7th informational hearing will include several panel discussions, key witness testimony and a brief period for public comments from small and emerging business owners.   Written comments detailing personal experiences contracting with Caltrans, or procurement with DGS, are encouraged and will be added to the final report.    Please email comments to assemblymember.price@assembly.ca.gov  with the subject “Select Committee”.    Please send written comments to Assemblymember Price’s office attention “Select Committee”.
