SACRAMENTO – Newly-elected Assemblymember Curren Price (D-Inglewood) will chair the inaugural round table meeting with the Concerned Citizens for the Enhancement of Public Education and the Elimination of School Violence. Assemblymember Price’s work with community, business, education, and religious leaders has yielded this concern citizens’ round table to be hosted by Bishop Henry Williamson and Host Pastor Reverend James Raymond. This round table meeting will bring some of Southern California’s best minds together in an effort to collaborate on solutions for immediate impact for our families and children. This roundtable meeting will be the beginning of the “One Church, One School” project – where community church volunteers will commit to serve as community mentors to the students in their local schools. Williamson Sr. Presiding Prelate 9th Episcopal District from the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Bishop George D. McKinney Prelate Southern California 2nd Jurisdiction from the Church of God in Christ, and Corporate leaders from Waste Management, Hilton Hotels, the Amer-I-Can Program, and Worldwide Multi-Media.
