Congress Of California Seniors Gives Assemblymember Eng An A+

Sacramento, CA – The Congress of California Seniors (CCS) released their annual “Legislative Scorecard” for the 2008 Legislative Session and indicated that Assemblymember Mike Eng (D–Monterey Park) voted 100% of the time in favor of bills that focus on improving the lives of California seniors.

Every year, CCS develops a Legislative Scorecard that reports the voting record of each member of the California Senate and Assembly on matters of key concern to California’s seniors.  Some of those matters include: health care reform, nursing home care, information on end of life care for terminally ill patients, and planning services for Alzheimer’s patients.

“Getting a 100% scorecard from the Congress of California Seniors, which is one of the state’s strongest and most vocal senior advocacy groups in the state, is something to be truly proud of,” stated Assemblymember Eng. “Helping improve the lives and well being of California’s 4.5 million seniors is always a priority for me.”
