The Select Committee on Foster Care with Assemblymember Karen Bass (AD47) and Assemblymember Bill Maze (AD34) will hold a foster care conference on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the State Capitol. A statewide coalition of advocates and foster youth will be on hand for the one-day event to review recent accomplishments and challenges of this year as well as set the policy agenda for 2007-2008 legislative session. More than 340 attendees are expected to participate. The conference, which starts at 9 a.m., will include workshops and breakout sessions throughout the day. Governor Schwarzenegger has been invited to participate in the conference. |
