Assembly Majority Leader Karen Bass to hold Health Policy Town Hall Meeting with Senator Sheila Kuehl and Assemblymember Mervyn Dymally

WHAT:            Assembly Majority Leader Karen Bass will host the 47th Assembly District People’s Council town hall meeting asking the question “Revolution in California’s Health Care System?” Senator Sheila Kuehl, author of Senate Bill 840 – California Universal Health Care Act and Assemblymember Mervyn Dymally, chair of the Assembly Committee on Health Care will be the panelist at this town hall meeting on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (5931 West 18th Street, Los Angeles).

 

WHY:               In 2006, there were 6.6 million people who were uninsured – over a million were children. This year, state lawmakers will decide on policies to make health care available, affordable and accessible for all Californians. Attendees will be able to obtain information on health care policy reform. More than 200 people are expected to attend.
