SACRAMENTO—Speaker Fabian Núñez (D-Los Angeles) today appointed 18 Assemblymembers to the Assembly Health Committee for the 2007-08 first extraordinary session.

“I am optimistic that a deal can be reached to provide almost all Californians with quality health care, but time is of the essence,” Speaker Núñez said. “I have complete confidence that the Assembly Health Committee will approach this issue with the determination and expediency necessary to get our proposal on the Governor’s desk in a timely manner.”
