“I’m very pleased to have the Governor’s signature on this bill, and extraordinarily grateful to Senator Kuehl for all her tireless years of effort that have led up to this day. 

“I do hope, however, that the Boeing Company, that has resisted every single effort to clean up this site to a standard that will truly protect the public health, is not now going to use the cleanup legislation that will follow as another opportunity to subvert the protections of SB 990.  The community is going to continue to be a critical partner in those next steps, and I’ll continue to be working very closely with them."
