Assemblymember Lloyd Levine holds telephone townhall for nonprofits on budget cuts Friday April 4 at noon

Friends,

Please join me for my first interactive, telephone town hall meeting on balancing the state budget. I need your input, ideas and questions so the cuts don’t come at the expense of California’s nonprofits.

Who:   Assemblyman Lloyd Levine (D-Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County)
When: Friday, April 4 at noon
Participant Call-in number: 866-447-5149
Pin Number: 13613

In order to help you get through this difficult fiscal time, I will answer any questions you have about the upcoming budget timeline, proposed spending cuts and ways to financially navigate around them in the months ahead. I will be joined by a budget expert to help answer all your questions.

I’m on your side supporting nonprofits, schools, our families and our parks. We need to stand up to California’s Republican lawmakers who support subsidies for big oil, yacht tax loopholes and millionaire tax loopholes instead of services for the people of California. Start now by going to my website at www.assembly.ca.gov/Levine and clicking on the California's Fiscal Emergency alert link on the right side of the page. The website is a roadmap for how nonprofits can fight the cuts. It is filled with useful information that you should share with family and friends. You can download sample letters and send them to Governor Schwarzenegger and Republican leaders.

Please join me for the telephone town hall and we’ll brainstorm together:
