Assemblymember Pedro Nava and the California Highway Patrol to Host Holiday Traffic Safety Press Conference in Goleta
 

SANTA BARBARA – Assemblymember Pedro Nava, the California Highway Patrol, and local law enforcement agencies to host Holiday Traffic Safety press conference on Thursday, December 20, 2007 in Goleta.  The press conference will highlight the importance of safe driving during the Holiday Season, and will stage a crashed vehicle as a backdrop to underscore what can happen when tragedy strikes.

“As we celebrate the holidays with family and friends, it is important to underscore the importance of safe driving practices so that we can prevent unnecessary tragedies in our community,” said Nava.  “I look forward to working with the CHP and local law enforcement agencies in getting the message out about traffic safety.”

The press conference will focus on law enforcements efforts to keep the roads safe and to encourage responsible driving, by not driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, wearing a seatbelt, and by obeying all traffic laws during this busy time of year.
