The following is a consolidated report of state operations and fire activity in Southern

California. Information in this report is gathered from state and county offices of emergency

services. Some information may not be verified.

General Report:

Incidents are listed in the MACS Ranking Order as of the last MACS decision process. There are 2 active

fires in Southern California. The priority for fighting fires is: Santiago and Poomacha.

Extent of Damage:

• Fatalities: 7 Injuries: 130

• Total Acres Burned to Date: 518,023

• Structures Destroyed: 3107

• Structures Damaged: 511

Recovery

Local Assistance Centers / Disaster Recovery Centers have reported 23,103 services visits as of

11/04/07 up from 23,086 services visits from the prior report. Many of the LACs are transitioning into

Disaster Recovery Centers as needed.

Individual Assistance Program

FEMA Tele-registrations has increased from 14,063 to 14,466 (Last updated 11/04/07).

Donations Hotline

1-800-750-2858; operated daily 8 am to 5 pm. Since operations began on 10/23/07, the hotline has

received 1026 calls and inquiries

Energy

Almost all power has been restored except for 25 active outages in San Diego County communities.

San Diego Gas and Electric (SDGE) is estimating complete power restoration by 11/11/07. Updated

been destroyed. 8 Residences & 12 Outbuildings/Other damaged. 12 hour threat zone to

the communities of Silverado.

L.A. County Assessor offers fire damage tax relief. The State Revenue and Taxation

Code, Section 170/Misfortune and Calamity, allows reassessment of property sustaining

at least $10,000 in damage. This process can result in a corrected tax bill or refund. Any

adjustment or proration of taxes will be based on the reduction in value from the date of

damage through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.
