Assemblymember Pedro Nava Invites You to a Business Resource EXPO

Assemblymember Pedro Nava along with the Santa Barbara Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Solvang Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a business resource expo for Santa Barbara County businesses. The focus of the expo is on how to do business with the federal, state and local government. There will also be many public and private organizations on-hand to provide resources and information to prospective entrepreneurs and area businesses.

“I want to bring together as many resources as possible from both the public and private sectors to Santa Barbara County so that partnerships can be created. It is important for local businesses to learn how to take advantage of the myriad of opportunities available to them to grow and prosper,” said Assemblymember Nava.

The business resource expo will take place on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, located at 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd., in Santa Barbara. Assemblymember Nava Cordially Invites You to a Satellite District Office Event

Assemblymember Pedro Nava will be hosting a Satellite District Office at the Ventura Farmers’ Market on Saturday, September 9, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the Ventura City and County Firefighters, Ventura County Office of Emergency Services, the American Red Cross, the Channel Islands Chapter of Society of Enrolled Agents and Ventura County Animal Regulation. Along with providing constituents with an opportunity to discuss any state or legislative matter, the focus of the office hours will be on emergency preparedness. Assemblymember Nava, in light of recent events on the South Coast and in California, believes that it is important to provide vital emergency preparedness information to his constituents.

“As Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Emergency Services and Homeland Security for the California Legislature, I believe it is vitally important to assist my constituents with information on how to prepare for an emergency, as well as provide information regarding what services are available when disaster strikes,” stated Assemblymember Nava.
