Arambula to host "Stranger Danger Camp" and Children's Resource Fair in Fresno

Assemblymember Juan Arambula (D-Fresno) has invited parents to take an active role in keeping their children safe by attending a free “Stranger Danger Camp” and Children’s Resource Fair at Winchell Elementary in Southeast Fresno on March 25th.

The event will offer activities and information for both parents and children. Stranger Danger Camp teaches critical abduction prevention and life-saving tips on how to survive the unthinkable. The program helps dispel children’s fear by teaching proactive strategies in a fun, non-threatening manner. The Children’s Safety Resource Fair will provide a wide range of safety information, from local law enforcement, fire safety and much more. Fingerprinting and fingerprinting kits will be available free of charge.

“Law enforcement professionals do all they can to keep our children safe, but they can’t do it alone,” said Assemblymember Arambula in announcing the event. “It’s up to all of us — parents, children, friends, family, and neighbors — to be vigilant about protecting our loved ones, especially those who are the most vulnerable to harm.”

When: Saturday, March 25, 2006
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Winchell Elementary School (Quad Area)
3722 E. Lowe Ave., Fresno
