Arambula announces informational meeting in Selma on PG&E assistance programs
Assemblymember Juan Arambula (D-Fresno) today announced an upcoming community meeting in Selma for constituents interested in PG&E’s ratepayer-assistance and rebate programs. Valley ratepayers have experienced a 43% increase in gas prices this winter. At the meeting, PG&E representatives will explain programs that can soften the impact of the price jump, including:
  • The CARE Program, which provides a 20% bill discount to qualifying low income households.

  • The Balanced Payment Program, which evens out payments over a year long period.

  • The 10/20 Winter Gas Savings Program, which gives a rebate to ratepayers who reduce their natural gas use this winter.

  • The REACH Program, administered by the Salvation Army, which uses donations to give qualifying low income ratepayers who are experiencing severe hardship a credit toward their energy bill.

  • Incentives and tips to increase home energy efficiency.

This meeting is part of Arambula’s monthly “Mobile District Office” program, which invites constituents to bring their concerns and ideas regarding state government to the attention of Assemblymember Arambula and his staff. Information is available in English and Spanish.

When: Wednesday, January 11, 2006
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Where: Salazar Youth Center
1800 Sheridan Street, Selma
