Arambula Named Small Business
Assembly Legislator of the Year
Assemblymember Juan Arambula (D-Fresno) was recently named “Assembly Legislator of the Year” by the California Small Business Association (CSBA) and the California Small Business Roundtable (CSBR). The prestigious award was presented to Assemblymember Arambula Sunday, September 25, at the CSBA’s leadership retreat.

“Juan Arambula has been an effective, bipartisan leader on small business issues in California,” said Betty Jo Toccoli, Chair of CSBR. “The California Small Business Association and California Small Business Roundtable are proud to name Juan Arambula our Assembly Legislator of the Year.”

On receiving the award, Arambula expressed his continued support for small business and for entrepreneurs across California. “With each small business we help to start and grow, more jobs are created for Californians, more wealth is reinvested in our communities, and more opportunities are created to bring diversity to our economy,” Arambula said. “Small business will always be the engine of innovation and economic growth in California.”

Arambula’s Assembly Bill 348, a bill to simplify the small business certification process throughout the state, was signed into law on September 6. Arambula’s AB 485, which requires the state to study how to implement a one-stop business licensing center, will be taken up next year in the Senate.

CSBR is a grassroots, bipartisan, nonprofit organization that provides strategic planning, advocacy and leadership on issues of major importance to small businesses in California. The Roundtable is composed of leading small business owners from across the state with demonstrated accomplishments on behalf of small business at the state and federal level.
