Kermit Koontz Education Complex receives funding from State Allocation Board.

Fresno, CA – Assemblymember Juan Arambula (D-Fresno) announced today that more than $7.9 million has been awarded to construct the Kermit Koontz Education Complex. The funds will go to the Fresno County Office of Education, who operates the facility. The $7.9 million will be provided through the State Allocation Board with Proposition 55 funds designated for new school construction.

"I'd like to congratulate the students, parents, teachers and administrators of the Kermit Koontz Education Complex," said Assemblymember Arambula. "I hope this funding will go a long way in building a modern and more up-to-date campus that will provide a high-quality learning environment for our children deserve."

According to Arambula, voters approved Proposition 55 in 2004 to help build new schools, aid in class size reduction and modernize out-dated school facilities.

"I am pleased the State Allocation Board is carrying out this mandate in the approval of new construction and modernization funding for schools in my Assembly District and throughout the state," said Assemblymember Arambula.
