Assemblymember Juan Arambula Brings Hope Of New Jobs And Dollars To The Central Valley |
| State funding offers help to employers for job creation and training in the Valley. |
Fresno, CA –Assemblymember Juan Arambula (D-Fresno) brought together more than 50 local business owners and leaders for a workshop that will help attract more funding to the Central Valley for job training and creation. Assemblymember Arambula invited the Employment Training Panel (EPT) to meet with local businesses to discuss funding opportunities to train workers for high wage, high skilled jobs, particularly for businesses that need a more skilled workforce to stay in California and the Central Valley. “The Employment Training Panel has a total of $56 million in grant funding to distribute this year. I want to make sure Central Valley businesses are the first in line to receive this funding, which is a crucial step in creating a strong economy and workforce,” said Assemblymember Arambula. According to Arambula, the workshop was created so local business owners and leaders could access important information on how to apply for state funding and have a hands-on discussion of the grant application process with EPT staff. “Workshops such as this one, give our business community access to important information directly from the Employment Training Panel staff. It is my hope those who attended leave feeling confident they can apply for funding that will help support programs to train new and existing employees in the Central Valley,” said Assemblymember Arambula. |
