We are all tired of our government being the private playground of big business and special interest groups, where politicians get rich at our expense. I commend Assembly Member Juan Arambula for keeping his focus on us and not his own pockets. I have not always supported the governor on everything, but I also commend him for admitting his errors, and even more important, for his focus on getting everyone to work together to move California forward.

I truly hope 2006 is a year where we, the people, get our government back, and move ahead. I hope all of our local politicians seek to truly work together for the benefit of the Valley, instead of getting rich or pushing their partisan politics (we, the people, always lose in that game).

Our politicians are here to serve us. 2006 is everyone's chance to get our act together and move Fresno, the Valley, California and America forward. Politicians must serve us, the people of the Valley, in 2006, or get out of the way.
