Letter: The Valley's 'fair share'

| In response to the Feb. 23 editorial, "Highway 99: When is it our turn?": The Bee was right. Highway 99 is "the lifeline of the Valley" and a critical component of the state's overall freeway system.
In fact, providing $1 billion in transportation bond funding for Highway 99 is the cornerstone of the Assembly Democratic infrastructure plan for the Valley. Democratic legislators from the Valley such as Barbara Matthews, Juan Arambula and Nicole Parra are key participants in crafting our priorities. As far as Democrats are concerned, we will fight to ensure the Valley gets its fair share. Fabian Nunez Sacramento |
