| On August 14, 2006, Assemblywoman Parra and James Tilton, Secretary of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, joined a bi-partisan coalition of legislators and public safety advocates at a press conference unveiling Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legislative package on prison reform.
Assemblywoman Parra is authoring AB 4, one of the bill’s in the Governor’s reform package. AB 4 would allow the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to construct up to 5,000 reentry beds throughout the State. |
