SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember John Laird (D-Santa Cruz) today announced Governor Schwarzenegger has signed bills to reimburse Medi-Cal injectible medications for such diseases as cancer, HIV/AIDS and rheumatoid arthritis (AB 2631); eradicate non-native and water-consuming tamarisk along the Colorado River (AB 984); and bring agricultural commissions into compliance with federal case law in marketing various California agricultural commodities. Including these three bills, 17 Laird bills were signed this year and 5 were vetoed:
