BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
Mark Stanford, Ph.D. is the Medical and Clinical Services Manager for the Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System, Addiction Medicine Division.
Dr. Stanford is also a clinical research educator in the behavioral neurosciences. He is an Associate Professor of psychopharmacology at Cal State Hayward, UC Berkeley Extension, and is a lecturer at Stanford University Department of Family and Community Medicine.
He has been in the addictions treatment profession since 1976 and has provided direct clinical experience within the modalities of inpatient, day treatment, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment programs.
Dr. Stanford is the author of 4 books including Behavioral Pharmacology of Substance Abuse Disorders and Mental Illness. He was the Chief Editor of the Professional Perspectives on Addiction Medicine, a required reading for many addiction medicine clinics and medication-assisted treatment programs throughout the nation.
Assembly Member Beall, who has lived in the 24th Assembly District his entire life, graduated from San Jose State University, has a wife, Pat, two step-sons, and one step-grandson. |
