Affordable Housing Fair

Affordable housing resources fair that is open to the public.  It would include foreclosure counseling, workshops on first time home buying and various government programs that are available to our residents.  The event is during the national celebration of Affordable Housing Week. It is one of many events that will be held throughout Santa Clara County.

 Workshops

California Certified Public Accountants (CAL CPA) will be hosting a workshop titled Dollars and Sense-Home Ownership

Will include workshops on Foreclosure by ACORN non-profit

The next Lanterman hearing will be held on November 16, 2007, from 1:30 to 5:00 at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Avenue, in Campbell.  The Committee will hear testimony on the recommendations contained in the report of the State Council on Developmental Disabilities on SB 1270 and examine ways to expand opportunities for employment, postsecondary education, and community participation for individuals with developmental disabilities.  There will also be an opportunity for public comment at this hearing.


Please Join Assemblymember Jim Beall, Jr. and the Neighborhood Housing Services for “Unlocking the Door to Homeownership.”

The workshop will be on:

Understanding the process of homeownership

How to decipher the terminology

How to work with real estate agents, mortgage companies and escrow officers

Available programs that take advantage of City, County and State loan programs

In addition, this is a great chance to discuss housing legislation that affects you, your family and your community.
