Assemblymember Joe Coto (San Jose) and the Children’s Discovery Museum invite residents of the 23rd Assembly District to enjoy the 2nd Annual Healthy Children’s Day”at the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, on August 26, 2006 from 11 A.M. and 3P.M. The event is designed to promote healthy living habits, literacy, and child safety and sponsored by the Children’s Discovery Museum, MACSA, PG&E, Pharma, Comcast, AT&T, Academic Books, ChildQuest, Healthy Families Program and California Academy of Ophthalmology, City of San Jose Crime Prevention and Assemblymember Joe Coto.

The Children’s Discovery Museum has agreed to admit up to 5 members per family in free if they have a voucher. The vouchers were mailed to residents with children in the 23rd Assembly District. In addition to the exciting programs offered by the Children’s Discovery Museum, there will be a variety of agencies providing services and information to families on health related issues, literacy and child safety. Free backpacks filled with children’s books. highlighters, coloring books and other materials will be distributed.
