Assemblymember Joe Coto and the San José Tully Library branch are proud to present The Tully Library Vietnamese Literacy Event and Tet Celebration.  The day’s events includes a lion dance performance, puppet show, refreshments, traditional games, a Vietnamese story hour, and a book give-away of the story being read, “The Tet Pole.”

This is an event designed for the younger members of the family with lots of games and activities but with an academic twist.  Assemblymember Coto recognizes the importance of cultural preservation and the benefits that come along with strong roots in one’s own ethnic community; therefore, there will be a special emphasis on cultivating bilingual language skills with a Vietnamese language story time and a book give-away of “The Tet Pole: The Story of the Tet Festival” printed both in English and Vietnamese, for the first 100 families.
