2009 Small Business of the Year American Animal Care Center
American Animal Care Center is my choice for the 20th Assembly District Small Business of the Year. American Animal Care Center and other small businesses from across the state will be honored during a ceremony with the California Small Business Association in Sacramento on May 26th. American Animal Care Center (AACC) has been caring for Bay Area pets since 1986. Founded by Dr. Dharam P. Salwan, and now operated by his son Dr. Raj Salwan, AACC is a highly successful small animal practice in Fremont. The center has achieved the highest accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association for Excellence in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Recently, it received the honor of being the “Top Vets for Pets” in the Bay Area, and was also awarded the Best Animal Hospital in Fremont in 2008. The Drs. Salwan believe in giving back to the communities that have helped them achieve such success. In addition, Dr. Raj Salwan and Dr. D.P. Salwan volunteer their time in community groups and forums. Through his Pet Pro weekly newspaper columns in the Argus, Dr. Raj Salwan has dedicated extensive coverage of issues in the veterinary profession and has raised community awareness about proper pet care. Dr. Salwan also serves the City of Fremont as the Chair of the Human Relations Commission, as well as the organizer for Our Community – We All Belong forum that is sponsored by 20+ non-profits and the City of Fremont. | ||||||||||||||||||
