Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi, D-Hayward, will host the film "Arctic Tale" on Aug. 2. She will speak about global climate change and show the movie by National Geographic Films.

The free event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Regal Cinemas at 5000 Dublin Road in Dublin.

"Arctic Tale," by the producers of "March of the Penguins," follows the lives of a walrus and a polar bear struggling to survive in a rapidly changing environment. Narrated by Queen Latifah, it is rated G and opens in theaters Aug. 3.

Hayashi will provide literature on how families can help eliminate global warming by utilizing greener technologies.
