| The "Web Resource Page for State Services" by Assemblymember Hayashi is our site of the day | |
Capitol Progress Report January 29, 2007 Freshman Assemblymember Mary Hayashi has launched a new WebResource Page on her official Assembly website that provides access to a comprehensive list of resources provided by California state agencies. Hayashi says that this site "should help anyone looking for a particular service in their community. There are 170 resource links that offer valuable information such as how to prevent identity theft, how to apply for a FasTrak toll device, and how you can receive free cash for college. These wonderful links range from applying for a driver’s license to registering to vote and everything else in between." Assemblymember Hayashi noted that a member of her own staff used the webpage to connect a particular California Department of Insurance website where he found an insurance company offering a much better rate for his auto insurance. The staff member now saves over $700 on his annual auto insurance bill with much greater coverage. “Whether you’re looking for tips to save on prescriptions or attempting to find the nearest recycling center, this new webpage is a convenient and comprehensive resource. I hope everyone living in my district will visit the new webpage and discover information that will make their lives more enjoyable,” Hayashi also said on launching this site. But there's no reason it should be limited to constituents who live in her district. Check it out and see if you can benefit.
