(Oakland) – On Friday, July 20th, Assemblymember Sandré Swanson (D – Oakland) will keynote the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce “Inside Oakland” breakfast forum. Mr. Swanson will speak on his Oakland schools bill, AB 45, which will put in place a transparent and orderly process for the return of local control and democracy to the Oakland Unified School District and allow parents to engage in the educational decisions affecting their children. Mr. Swanson is also expected to comment on his budget priorities and the progress of the budget negotiations in Sacramento.
