| ABOUT CAL GRANTS : |
Eligible graduating seniors and recent graduates can receive up to $9,700 a year in Cal Grants for college expenses. This money can be used to pay tuition fees, buy books, pay rent and much more at both private and public colleges. Many college students rely on Cal Grants to get through college but few high school students know how to apply. The press conference hopes to shed light on the application process and encourage more youth to apply.
To apply for a Cal Grant, graduating seniors and recent graduates must submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) and GPA Verification Form before the March 2 deadline.
