Californians Overwhelmingly Support Paid Sick Days Law

(Sacramento) – A new survey shows an overwhelming majority of Californians, regardless of their party affiliation, support paid sick days legislation. During a state capitol news conference Assemblywoman Fiona Ma (D-San Francisco), author of Assembly Bill 2716, a bill that would make California the first state in the country to allow all workers to earn paid sick days, said the poll shows 73% of California voters are in favor of a law allowing all workers to earn paid sick days. The poll was conducted by the Field Research Corporation for the California Center for Research on Women and Families (CCRWF), a program of the nonprofit Public Health Institute. Here’s more in this Assembly Web Report.
