Assembly Member Mark DeSaulnier To Host Transportation Town Hall In Hercules

MARTINEZ - Assembly Member Mark DeSaulnier will host a Transportation Town Hall to discuss transportation improvements for West Contra Costa County on Wednesday, June 13th.  The Town Hall will commence at 7:00 p.m. in the Hercules City Council Chambers, located at 111 Civic Drive in Hercules.

Joining Assembly Member DeSaulnier will be Hercules Mayor Ed Balico, BART Director Joel Keller, Bob McCleary of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Therese McMillan of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Louise Lopeman of the City of Hercules and Charlie Anderson of WESTCAT.

Topics of discussion will include Proposition 1B funding, regional highway improvements, the proposed fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel, the Hercules Intermodal Transit Station, BART and public transit.

“I hope residents of West County will join us for a discussion on current transportation improvements,” said Assembly Member DeSaulnier.  “Our quality of life hinges on getting projects completed, and my constituents deserve to know what is happening and how construction on these vital transportation projects is progressing.”
