Assembly Member DeSaulnier To Host Transportation Town Hall In Antioch

MARTINEZ - Assembly Member Mark DeSaulnier will host a Transportation Town Hall to discuss transportation improvements for East Contra Costa County on Thursday, May 17th.  The Town Hall will commence at 7:00 p.m. in the Antioch City Council Chambers, located at Third and H Streets in Antioch.

Joining Assembly Member DeSaulnier will be Antioch Mayor Don Freitas, BART Director Joel Keller, Susan Miller of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Alex Bockelman of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and Jeanne Krieg of Tri-Delta Transit.

Topics of discussion will include Proposition 1B funding, improvements for Highway 4 through Antioch, the proposed fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel, proposed ferry service from Antioch to San Francisco, BART and public transit.

 “I hope residents of East County will join us for a discussion on current transportation improvements,” said Assembly Member DeSaulnier.  “Our quality of life hinges on getting projects completed, and my constituents deserve to know what is happening and how construction on these vital transportation projects is progressing.”
