A High School Student

Unfortunately, our education system is failing to reach some students and we are seeing an alarming number of students drop out of school.

According to statistics released in May 2009 by the California Department of Education the statewide dropout rate was 20.1 percent for 2007-2008. The high school dropout rate in California is unacceptable and it is absolutely critical that we address the issue aggressively.
