The following is a statement from Assemblymember Noreen Evans, Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus, on the passage of ABx1 1.

“This is an historic day.  Access to health care is an enduring inequity in our society.  The reforms passed by the Assembly today are the morally right thing to do.  And, everyone has a role to play to make sure that they succeed.  Every other advanced country but our own manages to provide health care to all citizens.  The plan that we passed today moves us in that direction.  I join the chorus of advocates calling on the Senate to move this historic reform forward.”
