(SACRAMENTO, CA) The following is a statement released by State Assemblymember Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus and Chair of the Select Committee on Wine, on the appearance of U.S. Undersecretary of Agriculture Bruce Knight and CA Secretary for Food and Agriculture A.G. Kawamura in Napa for the first round of spraying to combat the light brown apple moth.

“It’s a great day for Napa when state and federal officials choose our community as ground zero in the fight against pests posing enormous threats to farmers.  We need to circle the wagons and protect Napa’s agriculture from invasive species like the light brown apple moth.  I hope that we see continued support in the future.”
