( SACRAMENTO , CA ) – Assemblymember Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus, is pleased to announce the appointment of Veronica Bethel Stone as her District Director.

“I am proud to have Veronica represent me throughout Napa , Solano, and Sonoma Counties ,” says Evans. “She is very compassionate and dedicated to serving these communities.”

Prior to this appointment, Bethel Stone served nearly a year as Evans’ District Representative in the City of Vallejo . Now Evans’ District Director, she will be based in Santa Rosa and also oversee all staff and operations in the Vallejo and Napa offices.

Bethel Stone is a Vallejo native and daughter of Jesse Bethel for whom the City of Vallejo named one of its high schools in 1991. Prior to joining Evans’ staff, she taught courses in history, science, and special education to 6-12th graders as a substitute teacher in Vallejo Unified School District . She was also a business owner who served on the Board of Directors for the Vallejo County Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of the Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce. Bethel Stone has also served on numerous boards and commissions addressing affordable healthcare for children, healthcare access, land use, education, and small business development.
