WHAT:      Assembly Member Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa), Chair of the

Assembly Select Committee on Wine, will convene an informational meeting with representatives of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control about the variety of event permits available to non-profits and required by law in order to hold fundraisers where wine is donated and poured.  Given recent prosecutions of winemakers for pouring their wine at charitable fundraisers in violation of type 17 and type 20 alcohol license conditions, discussion will also address the legal environment for wineries to participate in non-profit fundraisers.
