Green Builders of Marin Honored with Sustainable 6 Award
Novato Firm Excels in Green Business Practices

Sacramento- Assemblymember Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) announced his second Sustainable 6 award to the Green Builders of Marin on Friday for their work in incorporating green practices into numerous aspects of their operation.  John Shurtz accepted the award on the companies’ behalf.

“Green Builders of Marin exemplify a sustainable business,” said Huffman. “The commitment they have made to the environment through building practices, matching employee contributions to environmental organizations, and educating the community and children in safe practices is truly remarkable.”

Green Builders of Marin are known for their healthy and environmentally friendly building practices.  With a focus of treading lightly on the earth, they implement sustainable solutions to achieve a superior outcome for their clients. Their mission, through their building practices, is to inspire, educate, and support our community in becoming environmentally responsible. The company also encourages employees to participate in saving the planet by providing them with incentives for carpooling, matching employee contributions to environmental organizations and offering them NARI Green Building training courses.

The Sustainable 6 award recognizes green businesses in the 6th Assembly District that incorporate sustainable practices in the way they operate. A certificate was awarded to the Green Builders of Marin on Friday, March 30th.
