Berg said, “Now that the Legislature is not in session, I’m really looking forward to getting out there and having even more quality time in the district.” She continued, “I’m especially excited about the Lake County Land Trust. Conservation of natural resources is a vital part of Lake County as well as the entire 1st Assembly District.
The Assembly legislative session ended on September 12th and will reconvene again on January 5th, 2004. Berg plans to spend a significant amount of that time throughout the expansive 1st Assembly District, talking with constituents and dealing with issues.
Assemblymember Berg was elected in November of 2002 and represents the 1st Assembly District. The District stretches from the Oregon Border south to include the Counties of Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, Trinity and parts of Sonoma.
She currently serves as Chair of the Joint Committee on Fisheries and Aquaculture and Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Aging and Long Term Care. She also serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Higher Education, Transportation, and Water Parks and Wildlife Assembly Committees and was recently appointed to the Assembly Select Committee on Wine.
