SACRAMENTO—Assemblywoman Berg issued the following statement regarding the failure of the California Transportation Commission to fund the Willits Bypass:

“This may be what Bay Area voters had in mind, but it’s not what the rest of us wanted.

“It’s almost as if they’re saying that if you don’t live in the Bay Area or Los Angeles, you don’t matter in this state. And that’s just plain offensive.

“I also want to say thank you to all of the people who did write and call the commission. You did a great job, and you made a good try. You should be proud of yourselves.”
